Colegios privados cambian de opinión: impartirán clases virtuales durante un mes
Tras reunión con autoridades del MEP, la Asociación de Centros Educativos Privados cambió de posición.
Luego de una reunión con personeros del Ministerio de Educación Pública (MEP), la Asociación de Centros Educativos Privados (ACEP) indicó, por medio de sus redes sociales, que impartirán lecciones 100 % virtuales durante un mes.
A diferencia de la educación pública, el sector privado no “pausará” el curso lectivo por la creciente ola de contagios de Covid-19 en el país.
“En ACEP entendemos perfectamente la situación que vive el país y con el compromiso de siempre damos por recibida la solicitud del Ministerio de Educación de continuar en la virtualidad. El tiempo de trasladarnos exclusivamente a la modalidad virtual será del 24 de mayo al 24 de junio de forma solidaria. En el sistema educativo privado acataremos esta recomendación”, indicó Betancourt.
La mañana de este lunes, la vocera de la entidad aseguró que continuarían en clases presenciales, pero tras el encuentro con el MEP, el grupo cambió de opinión.
En el comunicado, ACEP también insistió en la necesidad de vacunar al cuerpo docente.
“Hacemos un llamado imperativo a que los funcionarios en el sector educación sean prontamente vacunados a fin de no retardar el proceso educativo del país”, manifestó Betancourt.
