Carlos Alvarado se niega a quitar la restricción vehícular sanitaria
El mandatario asegura que para quitar la restricción es necesario convencer a las personas que no se quieren vacunar contra la Covid-19.
Pese al avance en la campaña de vacunación en el país el presidente de la República, Carlos Alvarado Quesada, descartó eliminar la restricción vehícular sanitaria.
Para el mandatario lo primordial en este momento es convencer a las personas que no quieren recibir la dosis anticovid.
“También hay que recordar que no solo la restricción es la principal medida para reducir el contagio, sino que también tiene un efecto colateral de aliviar a las UCI porque hay una disminución considerable de accidentes de tránsito, estos son uno de los causantes de llenar las UCI”, agregó.
El mandatario aseguró que las restricciones sanitarias que toman las autoridades sanitarias para disminuir la propagación de la Covid-19 van paralelas al momento de la pandemia que se vive en el país.
“Yo sé que es incómodo, yo sé que queremos salir de esto, pero queremos salir bien de esto, esa es la idea, que salgamos bien, yo los insto nuevamente a que veamos los ejemplos en los otros países más desarrollados que, con un nivel alto de vacunación, pero aún sin inmunidad de rebaño, quitaron las medidas y eso nos llevó a otras zonas pandémicas, por eso mi insistencia”, agregó.
Alvarado también se refirió a la donación de vacunas por parte del Gobierno de Estados Unidos. Afirmó que ha sido de gran apoyo para acelerar la vacunación en el país.
“También hay que decir que los contratos que ya teníamos están en una fase en la que están trayendo más vacunas, como lo adelantamos a finales de julio y a inicios de agosto, los lotes que esperamos son lotes más grandes y esto nos va a acercar cada vez más a esa meta”, finalizó.
