(Video) ¡Como héroes! Así recibieron en Belén a los atletas que participaron en Tokyo 2020
Los nadadores Beatriz Padrón y Arnoldo Herrera recibieron una calurosa bienvenida por parte de los vecinos del cantón belemita.
Este jueves 29 de julio los nadadores costarricenses Beatriz Padrón y Arnoldo Herrera arribaron a suelo costarricense cargados de experiencias tras una destacada participación en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokyo 2020.
Los atletas junto a su entrenador, Pablo Camacho, tuvieron un caluroso y emotivo recibimiento por parte de los vecinos del cantón de Belén en la provincia de Heredia quienes en todo momento apoyaron a los deportistas a quienes catalogaron como “los embajadores de deporte”.
“Muchas gracias por el apoyo, estoy demasiado feliz y estoy super agradecida con todos gracias de todo corazón”, aseguró la joven en un video publicado por la Municipalidad de Belén.
Por su parte, Arnoldo Herrera, cerró su participación en las justas olímpicas en el sétimo lugar de su heat eliminatorio en los 200 metros pecho con 2:20.09. El costarricense ahora tiene el puesto 38 entre los mejores 40 nadadores del mundo.
