La boxeadora ocupa ahora el primer lugar en el ranking de la división de peso gallo (118 libras).
La boxeadora costarricense Julianna “La China” Rodríguez Acevedo recibió una excelente noticia que sin duda también es muy buena para el país, ya que ahora ocupa el primer lugar en el ranking de la división de peso gallo (118 libras), esto según la reciente actualización del listado global que hace la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo (WBA).
Con este reconocimiento la boxeadora ahora podrá aspirar a una pelea por el título mundial, que ostenta la británica Nina Hudges.
“Hemos tenido conversaciones con algunos agentes que se mueven en el mercado europeo y la idea es ponernos en el radar de Eddie Hearn y Matchroom Boxing, quienes llevan la carrera de Hudges, y así lograr que nos brinden la oportunidad de ir por el título en una pelea”
“Estar en esta posición abre las posibilidades para que Nina y Julianna se enfrenten, ya que incluso el organismo podría determinar la obligatoriedad de realizar el combate, ya que la británica enfrentó a la número dos y tres actuales”, expresó Édgar Sandoval, promotor de Fight Club Promotion.
Cabe destacar que Julianna desde que realizó su debut como profesional tiene un récord de ocho victorias y cero derrotas, de esos combates “La China” ganó cinco por la vía del nocaut.
