En cuanto a las rivales de Vargas en esta final, destaca Alaysha Alexzandria Johnson, de Estados Unidos, quien tiene como mejor marca 12.35 y de temporada 12.37.
Con respecto a la representante nacional, necesita lograr un tiempo de 12.77 para lograr el boleto a los Juegos Olímpicos de París.
