¡Orgullo nacional! José Pablo Gil ahora es el paratenista #1 de Centroamérica y el #7 de América
El paratenista tico ascendió al puesto 38 del ranking mundial ITF.
El paratenista costarricense José Pablo Gil no deja de poner el nombre de Costa Rica en alto, según trascendió en las últimas horas de acuerdo con el ranking mundial de la Federación Internacional de Tenis (ITF, por sus siglas en inglés), el tico ahora es el #1 de Centroamérica y el #7 de América.
Este ascenso en el ranking mundial ITF donde pasó del puesto 44 al 38 se vio impulsado gracias a los dos títulos de campeón que conquistó en Canadá en las categorías de dobles y sencillos en Birmingham Wheelchair Tennis Classic.
“Es una bendición, hoy revisando el ranking mundial pase del puesto 44 al 38. Lo más relevante es que con el movimiento del ranking, me colocó en el séptimo lugar de América. Un puesto realmente importante de cara a los Juegos Parapanamericanos de Santiago 2023”, expresó Gil sobre su nuevo logró.
Según trascendió, el paratenista antes de viajar a Chile participará en dos torneos importantes en Francia y España, donde buscará seguir dejando el nombre de Costa Rica en alto.
