Las declaraciones del espigado defensor de la Tricolor causaron polémica.
Costa Rica y Panamá se enfrentan este martes por un boleto al Final Four de la Liga de Naciones de la CONCACAF. Actualmente, el combinado patrio ocupa el segundo lugar del grupo B con seis unidades mientras que los panameños se ubican en primer lugar con siete puntos.
Para el defensor de la Tricolor, Kendall Waston, el encuentro de mañana, que se jugará en el Estadio Nacional a las 8:00 p.m., es muy significativo porque es el clásico centroamericano.
Las declaraciones del potente zaguero incendiaron las redes sociales, unos lo apoyaron, pero otros aseguran que el verdadero partido de la región es entre Costa Rica y Honduras.
Pero resulta que no solo Waston piensa así, también Francisco Calvo asegura que el clásico centroamericano es entre costarricenses y panameños.
A nivel de clasificaciones a Copas del Mundo, Honduras ha asistido a tres Mundiales (España 1982, Sudáfrica 2010 y Brasil 2014) y Panamá solo ha asistido a Rusia 2018.
