Andrea Vargas será la abandera de Costa Rica en la inauguración de los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio
Un total de 20 atletas participarán en las justas olímpicas.
La atleta de 100 metros vallas, Andrea Vargas, será la abanderada por Costa Rica en la inauguración en los próximos Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio 2020.
Andrea Vargas se siente emocionada por ser la designación de llevar la venderá patria. También, también aseguró que ser abanderada es un sueño que está pronto de cumplir.
Por otro lado, Camila Haase de Paranatación y Steven Román de Paratenis de mesa serán los que porten con orgullo la bandera tricolor en la inauguración de los Juegos Paralímpicos.
En el acto de juramentación de los atletas estuvo presente el presidente de la República, Carlos Alvarado, quien le ayudó a los deportistas en sus respectivos procesos clasificatorios.
El mandatario fue el encargado de juramentar a los 12 atletas que irán a los Juegos Olímpicos y ocho deportistas que estarán en las justas Paralímpicas.
En el evento también estuvo Henry Núñez del CON y Karla Alemán, ministra del deporte.
La delegación de Costa Rica cuenta con los atletas que a la fecha estarán en los Juegos Olímpicos de Tokio:

9 – Andrey Amador Bikkazakova – Ciclismo
10 – Beatriz Padrón – Natación
11 – Arnoldo Herrera – Natación
12 – Gerald Drummond – Atletismo
Por su parte, los atletas que tienen asegurado su cupo en los Paralímpicos de Tokio son:
