A partir del 2026 los Mundiales de FIFA tendrán varios cambios importantes, acá se los contamos
Se espera que en los próximos días se haga el anuncio oficial.
A pesar de que han pasada menos de cuatro meses desde que finalizó el Mundial de Qatar 2022, ya la mayoría de personas se enfocan en el Mundial del 2026.
Una muestra de ello, es la información que comenzó a circular este lunes 13 de marzo, luego de que diferentes medios de comunicación internacionales informaran que la FIFA aprobará un nuevo formato para los Mundiales de Fútbol.
Asimismo, trascendió que otro de los cambios y que es de los que más llama la atención, es que ahora serán 40 días de competición, 12 grupos de 4 equipos, donde se clasificarán para dieciseisavos de final los 2 primeros y los 8 mejores terceros, por lo que en la primera fase quedarían eliminados 16 equipos.
Por su parte, el periodista deportivo uruguayo, Rodrigo Romano, asegura que este jueves la FIFA tiene congreso y que ahí expondrán a sus miembros los nuevos cambios, por lo que la confirmación de dicha información se haría oficial después de este día, cuando también se realice la reelección de Gianni Infantino como presidente de la entidad más importante a nivel del fútbol mundial.
