¡Es hoy! Cómo observar desde Costa Rica la conjunción de Júpiter y Venus este 1 de marzo
Los planetas más brillantes del cielo nocturno estarán en conjunción, lo que nos brindará un espectáculo astronómico a simple vista.
Tras la puesta del sol este 1 de marzo, los costarricenses podrán ver hacia el oeste el “acercamiento” de los planetas Júpiter y Venus. A este evento se le llama conjunción que es cuando un planeta aparece cerca de la Luna, estrella u otro planeta.
Según detalla el sitio web de la fundación CIENTEC con buen horizonte oeste despejado, el espectáculo se podrá ver a simple vista, posiblemente empezando a las 6:15 p.m. cuando se identifican los dos luceros brillantes.
Pruebe medir la distancia entre ellos conforme se acercan día con día y luego se alejan. Utilice el ancho de los dedos con el brazo extendido, una forma de medir grados angulares de manera aproximada.
Venus ha estado cada día más alto en el cielo al anochecer y Júpiter va bajando, entonces en este día “se encuentran” de camino. De ahora en adelante, Júpiter estará más bajo al atardecer y el 27 de marzo ya no se verá hasta el próximo octubre, cuando sale por el este.
El 1 de marzo los dos planetas se acuestan temprano, Júpiter a las 7:50 p.m. y Venus minutos antes, a las 7:48 p.m.
Si usted tiene telescopio puede aprovechar para ver las lunas de Júpiter que son tan bellas, las lunas galicianas Io, Europa, Ganimide y Calisto.
Desde principios de marzo en adelante, el lucero brillante al atardecer será Venus, que es muy fácil de observar y se podrá mirar por mucho tiempo.
