Hasta 6 meses de cárcel en Irlanda a quien rompa la cuarentena por Covid-19
El gobierno de Irlanda estableció cuarentena obligatoria, por segunda vez, ante el posible rebrote de contagios por Covid-19. Sin embargo, también informó sobre las multas que aplicará, así como las penas con cárcel, por realizar reuniones en sus domicilios particulares.
Aquellas personas que organicen fiestas o reuniones en casa, o que infrinjan las nuevas restricciones, podrán tener una multa máxima de 2,500 euros o hasta seis meses de cárcel.
Las autoridades podrán ingresar a la casa donde haya una reunión para pedirle al propietario que la detenga. En caso de no hacerlo, se impondrá la multa que aumentará 1, 500 euros tras una segunda infracción o prisión de tres meses.
Si la infracción se repite, será de 2,500 euros y seis meses de cárcel.
Recordemos que será a partir del jueves que Irlanda comenzará con el confinamiento obligatorio para detener la propagación del coronavirus.
Además, se limitarán los paseos y salidas a un radio de cinco kilómetros de la casa. Los bares y restaurantes trabajarán solo a domicilio, las escuelas continuarán abiertas y la visita a los mercados deberá limitarse a la compra de artículos esenciales, entre otras limitaciones.
Incluso, el gobierno está considerando imponer multas a las personas que realice un viaje no esencial a más de 5 kilómetros de su hogar, la penalización va desde 60 euros.
