Por primera vez en 90 años, la isla Little Cranberry le da la bienvenida a un bebé
Tras 90 años de no nacimientos en Little Cranberry, nació Azalea Belle Gray.
En la isla Little Cranberry de Maine, Estados Unidos, Erin Fernald Gray dio a luz a un bebé, convirtiéndose en el primer nacimiento en la zona en más de 90 años. El último se trató de su abuelo quien nació en 1927.
Hace casi un mes, Erin dio a luz a Azalea Belle Gray, su sexta hija al lado de su esposo Aaron Gray en Islesford, también conocido con el nombre de isla Little Cranberry.
De acuerdo con el diario Bangor Daily News, los padres de la pequeña habían previsto ir a Mount Desert como plan de contingencia en caso de que el parto saliera mal, pero afortunadamente no hubo complicaciones y el 26 de septiembre la bebé nació.

Erin, la madre dijo que no tenía como plan en ser la primera mujer en tener un parto asistido en casa, en Islesford desde la época en la que Calvin Coolidge fue presidente de Estados Unidos.
Incluso, no había tenido en cuenta que el último nacimiento en la región fue en el año de 1927 con la llegada de Warren Fernald, su abuelo.
A pesar de ser madre de otros 5 niños, en el pasado se tomó la decisión de que ellos nacerían fuera de la isla.
