Cortaba zacate y un tornillo se clavó en el ojo de su hijo
Pese a que el objeto penetró muy profundo, el niño de 3 años se salvó de perder la vista en el ojo afectado. El hecho ocurrió en Tailandia.
En Khon Kaen (Tailandia), un inesperado accidente afectó el ojo de un niño de tres años: su padre cortaba el césped con una máquina cuando chocó con un tornillo que salió volando y se incrustó en el globo ocular del pequeño, causándole profundo dolor. Unas horas después, los médicos lograron retirarle el objeto. Ahora, el menor recibe tratamiento.
El incidente se produjo en la noche del lunes. El pequeño miraba cómo su padre podaba el césped de su jardín con una cortadora de pasto tipo motoguadaña a combustión. Las cuchillas del aparato tropezaron con un pequeño tornillo de una pulgada de largo, que salió despedido y se clavó en el ojo izquierdo del niño, haciéndolo gritar de dolor, según reporta el diario Metro.
El niño fue observado por los especialistas desde las 7:00 a.m. (hora local) del martes y fue sometido a una cirugía, mediante la cual consiguieron extraerle exitosamente el tornillo del ojo. Para las 11:00 a.m., el pequeño se recuperaba en un pabellón.
También en Tailandia, una niña se estranguló por accidente y murió al envolver su cabeza con una cortina.
