Greta Thunberg critica a la Unión Europea por descuidar la crisis climática en plan COVID-19
La activista aseguró que la Unión Europea firmó el multimillonario plan de recuperación COVID-19 sin destinar un porcentaje adecuado para la atención de la crisis climática.
La activista medioambiental sueca Greta Thunberg cuestionó a los políticos de la Unión Europea por no reconocer la magnitud de la crisis climática, luego de que estos firmaran un multimillonario pacto de 750.000 millones de euros como parte del plan de recuperación COVID-19.
Las medidas adoptadas, dentro de este proyecto postpandemia, no tendrían una atención adecuada a la crisis climática que azota al planeta, según la activista sueca de 17 años
En el histórico pacto firmado por 27 mandatarios de la Unión Europea se específico que un 30 % de los 750.000 millones de euros estarían destinados a políticas climáticas. Thunberg, sin embargo, alegó que no se precisó cuáles serían ni de qué forma se aplicarán.
The Guardian también conversó con Luisa Neubauer, de 24 años, importante promotora de huelgas escolares en Alemania, quien mostró su incertidumbre. “Estamos pidiendo a nuestros líderes que se encarguen de lo más fundamental: la seguridad de nosotros, la seguridad de las personas en todo el mundo, la seguridad de nuestro futuro”, aseguró.
