Dijo que usar mascarilla era una exageración y murió por coronavirus
Richard Rose se mostró reacio a utilizar mascarilla para el Covid-19 y calificó esta medida de prevención como una «exageración».
Un hombre que formó parte del Ejército de Ohio en Estados Unidos falleció por complicaciones que le generó el coronavirus a tan solo dos meses de decir que nunca iba a usar mascarillas y que no servían para nada. Richard Rose, que sirvió en el ejército de Estados Unidos durante nueve años, murió en su casa el 4 de julio.
Rose, de 37 años, se mostró reacio a utilizar barbijo por el coronavirus y calificó esta medida de prevención como una “exageración” en su Facebook el pasado 28 de abril. «Déjame aclarar esto. No estoy comprando una maldita máscara», escribió Rose. «Llegué hasta aquí al no comprar esa maldita exageración», agregó.
Nick Conley, amigo de Rose, dijo que estaba «asombrado» por la muerte del ex soldado. Además, afirmó que nunca se le pasó por la cabeza que el coronavirus mataría a alguien de esa edad.
«Es horrible que hayamos perdido a Rick», agregó Conley. Su amigo espera que la decisión del veterano sirva para como advertencia para aquellos que no creen en la peligrosidad de la enfermedad.
