Un hombre fue atacado por tiburón, escapó y murió en brazos de su hermano
El hermano menor de Matthew Trant relató a la prensa local sus últimos momentos juntos. “Murió haciendo lo que más le apasionaba”, comentó.
Un hombre de Australia que practicaba la caza submarina murió tras ser atacado por un tiburón blanco en la isla de Fraser. El individuo fue herido en la pierna y logró escapar de las fauces del escualo, pero falleció tras perder abundante sangre. Su hermano, quien lo acompañaba, contó a la prensa local cómo fueron sus últimos momentos.
Matthew Tratt, de 36 años, disfrutaba sus vacaciones junto a su hermano menor Rob, su esposa, su cuñada y sus dos hijos. El hombre fue mordido por el tiburón el sábado 4 de julio por la tarde, mientras cazaba con un arpón en las aguas cercanas a Indian Head.
Matthew fue socorrido por su hermano y por un grupo de pescadores, quienes lo sacaron del agua. Un doctor y una enfermera le dieron primeros auxilios, pero falleció a las 4:30 p. m. (hora local). “Mi hermano murió en mis brazos, haciendo lo que le apasionaba: la caza submarina. Y no creo que pudiera haber estado con una mejor persona”, señaló Rob.
También en Australia, un joven nadó cuatro horas en un mar infestado de tiburones para salvar su vida.
