Honda obsequia moto a enfermera que cruzaba inundación en bicicleta para trabajar durante pandemia
En Bolivia, la foto de la sanitaria se volvió viral logrando reconocimiento de la sociedad y motivando a la empresa a agradecerle por su labor frente a la COVID-19.
Durante las últimas semanas se hizo viral la imagen de una enfermera que atravesaba una gran inundación en su bicicleta para llegar hasta su domicilio. Según se reveló, la sanitaria identificada como Mary Luz Salazar llegaba pedaleando su vehículo de dos ruedas después de un arduo día de trabajo luchando contra la COVID-19 en un hospital de Santa Cruz, Bolivia.
La fotografía tomada por un usuario de las redes sociales captó el momento exacto en que la asistente de salud cruzaba el lodazal causado por fuertes lluvias que azotaban la localidad. Pese a laborar 36 horas seguidas en el nosocomio y al cansancio, Mary Luz hizo un último esfuerzo para volver a su hogar, informó Red Uno.
“Ahora tengo un color que deseaba, es bella, agradezco al dueño de la empresa, a las personas que han llegado hasta a mi casa y a toda la gente de Santa Cruz”, declaró Mary Luz cuando recibió la moto. “Siempre he tratado, con lo que uno puede, de ayudar a los demás”, agregó.
Según el portal web El País, en Bolivia se contabilizan 31.524 casos de contagios a causa de la pandemia. De esta cifra han fallecido 1.014 y se han recuperado 8.517 personas.
