Liberan bajo fianza a uno los expolicías involucrados en la muerte de George Floyd
El expolicía Thomas Lane deja la cárcel del condado de Hennepin después de pagar una fianza de 750.000 dólares.
Thomas Lane, uno de los cuatro expolicías de Minneapolis involucrados en el asesinato de George Floyd, salió de la cárcel este miércoles por la tarde después de haber pagado una fianza, según indicaron los registros del centro penitenciario. La información fue expuesta por el portal ABC News y Star Tribune.
Lane pagó una fianza de US$750.000 para ser liberado de la cárcel del condado de Hennepin, así lo expresó un portavoz de la oficina central del Sheriff. Asimismo, los registros muestran que los otros oficiales permanece bajo custodia.
El abogado de Lane, Earl Gray, decidió no responder a los medios sobre la salida de su cliente según informó ABC News. Sin embargo, la semana pasada dijo que Lane era un novato y que lo único que hizo fue sujetar los pies de Floyd para que no pudiera patear.
La denuncia penal también dice que Lane expresó su preocupación por Floyd y le preguntó a Chauvin dos veces si deberían ponerlo a su lado, pero Chauvin dijo que no. Gray sostuvo que Lane también le realizó a Floyd una reanimación cardiopulmonar en la ambulancia.
El mismo medio citó que Lane está con su esposa, aunque Gray no reveló dónde se encuentra por motivos de seguridad. El expolicía espera su próxima audiencia programada para el 29 de junio.
