Conmoción en Suiza por la muerte de un bebé por coronavirus
«No es la muerte de un estudiante, ha muerto un niño lactante», informaron las autoridades sanitarias.
Un bebé murió en Suiza por coronavirus tras haber sido infectado en el extranjero, informó el ministerio de Salud el viernes, explicando que se trata de la primera muerte de un niño tan pequeño en el país.
«No es la muerte de un estudiante, ha muerto un niño lactante», dijo el representante de la Oficina federal de salud pública, Stefan Kuster, en una rueda de prensa. El bebé vivía en el cantón de Argovia, al norte de Suiza.
Hasta ahora, en Suiza y el principado de Lichtenstein, 1.657 personas murieron tras dar positivo por coronavirus, lo que da un promedio de 19 muertes cada 100.000 habitantes. «De 1.573 personas que murieron con datos completos -explicaron en el informe diario-, el 97% sufría de una o más enfermedades preexistentes. Las tres mencionadas con mayor frecuencia son la presión arterial alta (63%), enfermedad cardiovascular (57%) y diabetes (26%).
También se anunció un aumento de las infecciones, en comparación con los días anteriores, con 32 nuevos casos que elevan el total a 30.828. A raíz de eso, instaron a la ciudadanía a «no olvidar que el virus siempre está entre nosotros». Remarcaron, igualmente, que sigue bajando el número de hospitalizados e internados en cuidados intensivos.
