El número de muertos por coronavirus en Italia cae por debajo de 100 en 24 horas
Se trata del balance más bajo desde el 9 de marzo, fecha en la que Italia inició su confinamiento.
El número diario de muertos de COVID-19 cayó este lunes en Italia por debajo de los 100, por primera vez en dos meses, anunciaron fuentes oficiales.
En total, 99 pacientes murieron en las últimas 24 horas en la península, según Protección Civil italiana. Se trata del balance más bajo desde el 9 de marzo (97 muertos) en el momento en que el país, golpeado por la epidemia del nuevo coronavirus, iniciaba el confinamiento.
Estos números se registran el mismo día en el que Italia ha dado un paso más en su desconfinamiento, que comenzó el 4 de mayo, con la apertura este lunes de prácticamente todas las actividades comerciales en el país, además de playas y hoteles; mientras que el 25 de mayo reabrirán gimnasios, centros deportivos y piscinas.
El 3 de junio Italia abrirá sus fronteras con los países de la Unión Europea sin necesidad de tener que guardar cuarentena y se permitirá el movimiento entre las diferentes regiones; y el 15 de junio le tocará el turno a teatros y cines.
