Nicaragua registra un octavo caso de Covid-19. Es el primer caso ‘’no importado’’
El Ministerio de Salud de Nicaragua solo ha encontrado a 8 personas infectadas de COVID-19.
El Ministerio de Salud de Nicaragua (Minsa), confirmó este viernes un nuevo caso positivo del nuevo coronavirus (Covid-19) en Nicaragua, lo que eleva a ocho la cifra de positivos en ese país.
Según el Minsa, se trata de un hombre 64 años de edad, ‘’contacto de un caso importado’’.
Se trata del primer caso de coronavirus “no importado”, es decir que es de alguien que no ha viajado y se contagió por medio de un contacto con uno de los casos positivos registrados en Nicaragua, según la terminología de la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS).
La OMS define como transmisión comunitaria cuando ya no hay forma de identificar quién contagió a quién en el país.
Por lo anterior el Minsa insiste en que ‘’no tenemos transmisión local comunitaria en Nicaragua’’. A pesar de que Cuba ha informado de tres casos de coronavirus que llegaron a la isla desde Nicaragua.
El paciente, según reporte brindado por Carlos Sáenz, secretario general del Minsa, se encuentra ‘’delicado, atendido y estable’’.
La conferencia de Sáenz fue confusa, no reportó el caso del hombre de 64 años como nuevo, sino que entre sumas y restas, aseguró que hasta ‘’hoy tenemos en total cuatro personas con Covid-19’’.
