Denuncian que China usaría estrategia para ocultar cifras reales del coronavirus
Un medio japonés y otro de Hong Kong afirman que el gobierno de Xi Jinping dejó de realizar pruebas de COVID-19 y que por eso no registran nuevos infectados.
China anunció, días atrás, que había “aplanado la curva” de enfermos por coronavirus, reflejando pocos o ningún caso nuevo de COVID-19 en Wuhan, donde nació el brote. Sin embargo, los medios japoneses Apple Daily HK y 47 news denunciaron que se trata de una mentira del régimen de Xi Jinping, ya que aseguran que no hay casos nuevos, porque dejaron de hacer pruebas del virus.
La grave denuncia fue realizada por el diario Apple Daily HK y el canal 47 news, quienes informaron que el gobierno de Xi Jinping oculta «nuevamente» las verdaderas cifras de los nuevos contagios del Covid 19 en la potencia asiática.
Este viernes, la Organización Mundial de la Salud (OMS) elogió el éxito de China en el control del brote, donde el virus fue identificado por primera vez a fines del año pasado.
El propio Donald Trump, arremetió contra Xi Jinping y lo increpó por haber ocultado información.
“Desearía que nos hubiera dicho antes lo que estaba sucediendo adentro. No lo supimos hasta que comenzó a publicarse”, declaró Trump en una rueda de prensa junto al equipo de tarea sobre el coronavirus de la Casa Blanca, que lidera el vicepresidente Mike Pence.
«Wuhan brinda esperanza para el resto del mundo de que incluso la situación más severa puede ser cambiada», dijo el secretario general de la OMS, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, en una videoconferencia de prensa en Ginebra.
Unos 56 millones de personas en Wuhan y la provincia de Hubei fueron sometidas a una gigantesca cuarentena forzada en enero, aunque las autoridades locales comenzaron a disminuir progresivamente las restricciones a medida que los casos fueron disminuyendo.
Wuhan no reportó nuevos casos del letal virus desde el pasado jueves y ordenó el cierre de los hospitales temporales habilitados para atender la emergencia sanitaria.
