México reporta cuatro fallecimientos y 367 casos confirmados por coronavirus
El subsecretario de Prevención y Promoción de la Salud, Hugo López-Gatell, informó que el último deceso fue el de un hombre de 71 años, que tenía diabetes e insuficiencia renal.
El Gobierno de México informó el lunes en la noche sobre un nuevo fallecimiento por coronavirus, con lo que el país latinoamericano elevó su cifra de muertes a cuatro. Además, la cifra de contagiados se elevó a 367.
De las personas contagiadas hasta este lunes, solo el 11 % permanecen hospitalizados. De acuerdo con el subsecretario de Prevención y Promoción de la Salud, Hugo López-Gatell, 7 % de los pacientes están estables y 2 % se encuentran graves.
En el caso de las dos más recientes muertes, presuntamente ambos padecían de diabetes, obesidad y en uno de los casos también insuficiencia renal, dijo el especialista en Medicina Interna, maestro en Ciencias Médicas y doctor en Epidemiología.
La primera de las defunciones corresponde a un hombre de55 años de edad que radicaba en el estado de Jalisco, mientras que el segundo fallecimiento fue el de un hombre de 71 años de edad.
En las últimas 24 horas fueron confirmados 51 nuevos casos de pacientes infectados por el coronavirus.
Agregó que hasta el día de hoy existen 826 casos bajo investigación por ser sospechosos de ser portadores de la enfermedad, mientras que mil 865 han sido descartados como portadores.
No obstante los nuevos casos, que no son de importación, México continúa en la fase uno de la pandemia del coronavirus. Según explicó López-Gatell, con las medidas de distanciamiento social recomendadas por las autoridades, se busca «retrasar la transmisión» del coronavirus.
