Estudiante desafía al coronavirus durante Spring Break en Florida: “No dejaré que me detenga la fiesta”
A pesar de las advertencias de los expertos en salud pública, las fotos y videos muestran playas repletas de spring breakers.
En Estados Unidos (EE. UU.) miles de personas ignoran las medidas restrictivas en contra del nuevo coronavirus e incluso acudieron a las playas del estado de Florida, como confirmaron medios locales esta semana.
El presidente Donald Trump anunció nuevas recomendaciones para que los estadounidenses ayuden a prevenir la propagación del COVID-19, que hasta la fecha ha matado a más de 170 personas en EE. UU. Las recomendaciones incluyen evitar reuniones de más de 10 personas y evitar lugares públicos.
Pero en Clearwater Beach en Florida, los vacacionistas de Spring Break no parecen cumplir con esas reglas. Imágenes de helicópteros y publicaciones a través de las redes revelan a miles de personas tumbadas juntas en la playa y nadando en el mar en grupos, sin aparente preocupación por la pandemia.
“Si obtengo la corona, obtengo la corona”, declaró a la agencia Reuters, Brady Sluder. En EE. UU. suelen referirse de esa manera al COVID-19. “Al final del día, no dejaré que me detenga de la fiesta”, añadió el joven.
Imágenes de helicópteros y publicaciones en redes sociales revelaron a miles de personas tomando el sol de forma rutinaria, sin aparente preocupación por el coronavirus, que deja casi 10 000 fallecidos y más de 235 000 contagiados en el mundo.
