El Papa Francisco aclara la realidad del exorcismo: ¡No es como en las películas!
En una reciente catequesis, el Papa Francisco abordó el tema del diablo y los exorcismos, enfatizando que la realidad de estos rituales dista mucho de las dramatizaciones que se ven en el cine. Durante su discurso del 26 de septiembre, el sumo pontífice subrayó que aunque el mal puede manifestarse de formas extremas, es complicado discernir si se trata del diablo o de la maldad inherente en el ser humano.
La modernidad, según Francisco, ha permitido la proliferación de prácticas ocultistas y supersticiosas. Desde astrólogos hasta vendedores de amuletos, el mundo se ha visto inundado por una cultura que, en su búsqueda de lo esotérico, ha reabierto las puertas a fuerzas que se creían expulsadas. “Si eres supersticioso, inconscientemente estás dialogando con el diablo”, afirmó, recordando a los fieles que con el diablo no se debe negociar.
A pesar de reconocer la existencia y la actividad del mal en su forma más extrema, el Papa también hizo hincapié en que no siempre es fácil identificar el origen de ese mal. «No podemos saber con precisión dónde termina su acción y dónde comienza nuestra propia maldad», destacó, instando a la Iglesia a mantener una postura prudente en el ejercicio de los exorcismos.
Finalmente, el Papa ofreció un mensaje de esperanza a los fieles, recordando que la presencia del diablo no debería desanimarlos, pues «Cristo ha vencido al diablo y nos ha dado el Espíritu Santo para hacer nuestra su victoria».
