¡Escándalo en la CCSS! OIJ agarra caídos a funcionarios que borraron más de 300 correos mientras detenían a Marta Esquivel
Este acto ocurrió a pesar de que un juez había ordenado bloquear las cuentas electrónicas involucradas en el caso.
En medio de los allanamientos relacionados con el caso de presunta corrupción conocido como Barrenador, un nuevo giro ha puesto en alerta a las autoridades. Mientras el Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) y la Fiscalía Anticorrupción (FAPTA) realizaban diligencias, se descubrió que un funcionario de la Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social (CCSS) accedió de manera irregular a un correo electrónico y eliminó más de 300 archivos cruciales para la investigación. Este acto ocurrió a pesar de que un juez había ordenado bloquear las cuentas electrónicas involucradas en el caso.
Este caso involucra a la presidenta ejecutiva de la CCSS, Marta Esquivel, y a varios exfuncionarios que están bajo investigación por adjudicar contratos con sobreprecios millonarios en la administración de 138 Ebais. El OIJ y el Ministerio Público afirman que esta eliminación de pruebas refuerza la necesidad de los allanamientos y confirman que este tipo de acciones criminales son las que se intentan evitar con dichas intervenciones.
Randall Zúñiga, director del OIJ, destacó que todas las herramientas forenses disponibles serán utilizadas para intentar recuperar la información eliminada. Además, se considera la posibilidad de solicitar ayuda internacional si los recursos locales no son suficientes para restaurar los archivos borrados.
