Brillante Participación de Judocas Ticas en Copa Panamericana: Tres Medallas para Costa Rica
Las jóvenes judocas costarricenses hicieron brillar el nombre de su país en la Copa Panamericana Cadete 2024, celebrada en Asunción, Paraguay. Noilyn Aguilar, Jimena Arce y Arianna Chaves se destacaron al ganar un total de tres medallas, con dos oros y un bronce, en una competencia que reunió a más de 50 atletas de ocho naciones diferentes.
Noilyn Aguilar se coronó campeona en la categoría de -63 kilogramos, luego de derrotar en la final a la ecuatoriana Domenica Danin, quien se llevó la medalla de plata. El tercer lugar fue ocupado por la argentina Jazmín Meinero, quien aseguró el bronce.
Por su parte, Jimena Arce también se lució en la categoría de -57 kilogramos, alzándose con la presea dorada. Las representantes de Ecuador, Domenica Lozada y Alexa Silva, completaron el podio con plata y bronce, respectivamente.
Arianna Chaves, en la categoría de +70 kilogramos, logró quedarse con la medalla de bronce. En su categoría, el oro fue para María Pesantez, también de Ecuador, mientras que su compatriota Nathaly Capelo aseguró la plata.
Además de su actuación en la categoría Cadete, tanto Aguilar como Arce también participaron en la Copa Panamericana Junior, que se llevó a cabo en la misma ciudad. En esta ocasión, Arce alcanzó la quinta posición en -57 kilogramos, mientras que Aguilar finalizó en el séptimo lugar en la categoría de -63 kilogramos.
Evento de Importancia Internacional
Este evento es parte del circuito de la Federación Internacional de Judo (IJF), y otorga puntos valiosos para el ranking de la región, lo que lo convierte en una plataforma crucial para las jóvenes promesas del judo. Las costarricenses fueron las únicas representantes del país en esta importante competición, demostrando que el judo nacional sigue creciendo y ganando reconocimiento a nivel internacional.
