Aumento de Peajes en el Zurquí Podría Llegar a ₡960
Conavi Propone Aumento de Peajes que Podría Alcanzar Hasta ₡960 en 2025
El Consejo Nacional de Vialidad (Conavi) ha presentado una propuesta que plantea un aumento significativo en las tarifas de peaje para varias rutas importantes en Costa Rica, incluyendo el Zurquí y Tres Ríos. Según la propuesta, el ajuste en los peajes podría oscilar entre ₡130 y ₡1.610 para la carretera Florencio del Castillo y hasta ₡960 para la ruta 32 del Zurquí, a partir del año 2025.
La solicitud para este incremento fue aprobada por los directores del Consejo de Administración durante una sesión ordinaria celebrada el 26 de agosto de 2024. El informe, elaborado por la Unidad Ejecutora San José-San Ramón, sugiere estos cambios debido a la necesidad de ajustar las tarifas en función de los costos de mantenimiento de las rutas y las metodologías de cálculo aplicadas.
Detalles del Incremento Propuesto
El informe detalla que en la estación de peaje de Tres Ríos, que opera en una sola dirección, el costo para motociclistas aumentaría de ₡50 a ₡180, mientras que los vehículos livianos pasarían de pagar ₡75 a ₡185. Este incremento se debe a la necesidad de cubrir los gastos operativos y de mantenimiento de la ruta de 14,1 kilómetros que conecta San José con Cartago.
En la estación de peaje del Zurquí, el ajuste será aún más notable. Las tarifas para motocicletas podrían subir de ₡50 a ₡550, y para vehículos livianos de ₡250 a ₡555. Los camiones y furgones también verán un ajuste, aunque en su caso, la tarifa podría bajar en algunos casos.
Propuesta de Aumento en Otros Peajes
El Conavi también ha propuesto cambios en las tarifas de los peajes de Río Segundo y Naranjo, que serán administrados por el Consejo a partir de noviembre de 2024, tras la finalización del contrato con el Fideicomiso Ruta Uno del Banco de Costa Rica. En Río Segundo, los motociclistas y vehículos livianos verán un aumento de ₡275 a ₡320, mientras que en Naranjo, las tarifas podrían variar con un rango de ajuste que llega hasta ₡1.970 para autobuses.
Reacción de la Autoridad Reguladora
Carolina Mora, vocera de la Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep), ha confirmado que la solicitud de ajuste tarifario está en proceso de revisión. Aresep está evaluando la propuesta para asegurar que todas las categorías vehiculares y los cálculos tarifarios sean correctos y justificados. Se contempla una actualización en las categorías vehiculares para crear una clasificación uniforme que se aplique tanto a las rutas administradas por el Gobierno Central como por empresas privadas.
Esta propuesta de incremento ha generado una serie de debates y preocupaciones entre los usuarios de las rutas afectadas, quienes se preparan para posibles ajustes en su presupuesto de transporte para el próximo año.
