Jorge Martínez Arremete Contra Elizondo por la Restricción a la Prensa
Fuerte Crítica de Jorge Martínez a Horacio Elizondo: ¿Una Restricción Injustificada?
Durante el enfrentamiento entre Saprissa y San Carlos, el periodista Jorge Martínez, director de Teletica Deportes, alzó su voz en contra de una decisión que, según él, dificulta el trabajo de la prensa costarricense en los partidos de fútbol. El responsable de esta polémica medida sería Horacio Elizondo, presidente de la Comisión de Arbitraje, quien habría dado la orden de limitar la presencia de los periodistas en las inmediaciones del campo de juego tras la implementación del VAR en el fútbol nacional.
La Queja Pública de Martínez
Martínez expresó su malestar en pleno partido, afirmando que Elizondo ha convertido el trabajo de los reporteros en cancha en una tarea complicada. Según el comunicador, la orden de impedir que los periodistas permanezcan entre los banquillos ha sido un obstáculo innecesario en su labor de informar sobre lo que sucede dentro y fuera del campo de juego.
“Los periodistas en cancha están ahí para informar, para ofrecer al público los detalles que ocurren en los banquillos y otros momentos clave del partido. Nosotros no estamos ahí para interferir en el VAR ni mucho menos”, señaló Martínez, visiblemente molesto.
El Papel del Periodista en Cancha
El director de Teletica Deportes insistió en que el periodista no tiene ningún rol en las decisiones del VAR y, por lo tanto, no debería verse afectado por su introducción. “El VAR es una herramienta para los árbitros, no para nosotros. Nuestro único objetivo es brindar la información más completa a los televidentes, pero parece que la Comisión de Arbitraje, especialmente Horacio Elizondo, nos ve como un obstáculo”, comentó Martínez, dejando claro que el cambio es innecesario.
La Petición de la Prensa: ¡Dejen Trabajar!
Martínez no fue el único en expresar su descontento. Felipe Castro, otro periodista presente en el estadio Ricardo Saprissa, también se sumó a la crítica con un mensaje directo: “Lo único que pedimos es que nos dejen hacer nuestro trabajo. Hemos estado en esta labor por años y nunca nos habíamos sentido tan incómodos como ahora”.
Un Llamado a Reconsiderar
Jorge Martínez sugirió que, si algún periodista incumple las normas, las autoridades pertinentes deberían tomar medidas específicas contra esa persona, en lugar de aplicar restricciones a todo el gremio. “No nos oponemos a que se tomen acciones si alguien no sigue las reglas, pero eso no significa que todos debamos ser expulsados de la cancha. Ojalá reconsideren su postura porque, si bien celebramos la llegada del VAR, no entendemos por qué nuestra presencia es vista como un problema”, concluyó Martínez.
Este desencuentro entre los medios de comunicación y la Comisión de Arbitraje plantea preguntas sobre el rol de la prensa en los estadios y cómo las nuevas tecnologías como el VAR pueden influir en su labor. La prensa deportiva costarricense espera que las autoridades reconsideren la medida y permitan que los periodistas sigan cumpliendo con su trabajo de manera efectiva y sin restricciones.
