Altas Temperaturas Rompen Récord en Alajuela y Heredia Durante Celebraciones Patrias
El clima extremo no ha dado tregua en varias regiones del país, y durante el pasado fin de semana, las provincias de Alajuela y Heredia registraron temperaturas que rompieron récords históricos. Según datos proporcionados por el Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN), las condiciones climáticas durante el sábado y domingo marcaron cifras nunca antes vistas en estas zonas.
Las Más Altas en Décadas
El IMN reportó un total de 19 récords de altas temperaturas, destacando localidades como La Virgen de Sarapiquí, que alcanzó los 34,8°C, y San Jorge de Los Chiles, donde el termómetro se disparó hasta los 36,9°C. Otras áreas como Horquetas de Sarapiquí también sintieron los efectos del calor, con temperaturas de 35,4°C.
Impacto en las Fiestas Patrias
El clima inusual se hizo notar justo durante las celebraciones de la independencia, añadiendo un elemento inesperado a las actividades. En Los Ángeles de San Ramón, la temperatura llegó a los 29,7°C, mientras que en San Lucía de Barva, el calor alcanzó los 29,8°C.
Inestabilidad Climática
Septiembre ha sido un mes irregular en cuanto a lluvias, y este reciente fin de semana fue otro ejemplo de esa tendencia. Las precipitaciones fueron mínimas, lo que permitió que las temperaturas ascendieran drásticamente, afectando principalmente a las zonas del norte y central del país.
Los expertos del IMN aseguran que estas temperaturas extremas pueden ser atribuibles a un fenómeno climático particular, aunque no descartan que el cambio climático global esté contribuyendo a estos eventos inusuales.
