Joven pierde la vida en una cirugía guiada por YouTube
Un adolescente de 15 años falleció en India tras someterse a una cirugía para extraer cálculos biliares, presuntamente realizada por un falso médico que utilizó tutoriales de YouTube para llevar a cabo el procedimiento. El trágico suceso tuvo lugar en Madhaura, Bihar, y ha generado conmoción, pues el sospechoso, identificado como Ajit Kumar Puri, está prófugo desde el momento de la muerte del menor.
El joven ingresó al hospital de Puri con fuertes dolores abdominales y vómitos. Según informes del diario The Times of India, sin obtener autorización de los familiares, el supuesto médico llevó a cabo la cirugía, guiándose con videos de YouTube. Durante la operación, cuando los parientes mostraron su preocupación por la salud del adolescente, Puri, aparentemente molesto, les respondió: «¿Soy yo el médico aquí o tú?».
La situación empeoró rápidamente y, pese a que el adolescente mostró signos de empeoramiento durante la intervención, Puri intentó trasladarlo de emergencia a un hospital en la ciudad de Patna. Lamentablemente, el joven murió en el trayecto. Tras el deceso, el falso médico abandonó el cuerpo en el hospital y huyó del lugar.
La familia del menor ha denunciado formalmente a Puri, acusándolo de negligencia y de operar sin estar cualificado para ejercer la medicina. Las autoridades locales han lanzado una operación de búsqueda para dar con su paradero.
