¡Peligro! AyA investiga posible contaminación en estos sectores
Acueductos y Alcantarillados (AyA) se encuentra investigando un posible caso de contaminación en el sistema que suministra agua a los distritos de Goicoechea, Guadalupe, Moravia y Tibás. El anuncio fue hecho por el presidente de la institución, Juan Manuel Quesada, quien brindó detalles sobre las acciones preventivas que se llevaron a cabo.
El aviso de contaminación se activó gracias a un moderno equipo de detección automática de hidrocarburos, lo que permitió actuar de inmediato y evitar que el agua contaminada ingresara a las tuberías de distribución.
«Al recibir la alerta, nuestro equipo técnico actuó rápidamente para cerrar la planta afectada y así evitar que la contaminación llegara a las redes de distribución. Gracias a esta rápida respuesta, el agua que llega a los hogares de estas comunidades sigue siendo segura para su consumo», aseguró Quesada.
El jerarca añadió que, como parte de las medidas preventivas, se están realizando maniobras operativas para redirigir agua de otros sistemas vecinos hacia las áreas afectadas, con el objetivo de no dejar sin suministro a los residentes.
Finalmente, Quesada indicó que durante la mañana del día siguiente se tomarán muestras de las fuentes que alimentan este acueducto para localizar el origen de la posible contaminación y eliminar cualquier riesgo.
