Rodrigo Chaves: “Maes, ¿saben qué? Si yo llegué aquí, ustedes pueden llegar a donde les dé su santa y regalada gana”
En su visita a la Ciudad de los Niños, el presidente Rodrigo Chaves dirigió un mensaje inspirador a los jóvenes de este proyecto sin fines de lucro, que se dedica a la formación integral de varones de 12 a 22 años en condiciones de vulnerabilidad, impulsando su desarrollo personal y educativo.
“Maes, como yo fui parte de ustedes, me voy a tomar la libertad. Maes, ¿saben qué? Nadie le regala nada a nadie. Aún la madre más amorosa, aún el fray más generoso y servidor de Dios, le da algo a ustedes por amor, por el deseo de sentirse bien, pero esperan que ustedes reciproquen con buen comportamiento”, comentó el mandatario.
“Las cosas hay que ganárselas. Las cosas vienen del cielo en la forma de oportunidades y decisiones bien tomadas. Ese es el primer mito. Nadie, ninguno de ustedes, muchachos, tiene derecho por simplemente haber nacido a ser dueños del mundo y que les regalen todo. La tienen que pulsear, tienen que ganársela”, agregó.
En su mensaje Chaves indicó : “No le pueden hacer daño al prójimo y pensar que lo que ustedes sembraron, amargo, espinoso y venenoso, se les va a convertir en un árbol de frutos dulces. Ustedes tienen obligaciones, la primera con ustedes mismos, de honrarse, de formarse, de educarse, de mantenerse sanos. El capital humano, así le dicen los economistas, tiene dos componentes y de ahí viene la platica que ustedes se van a ganar y la posición que van a ocupar en la sociedad”.
“El secreto del éxito, es muy fácil, es no aflojar. No importa dónde llega uno en la vida. Yo empecé abajo y llegué a presidente. Y la verdadera medida de éxito, muchachos, es la distancia recorrida, no el destino. (…) Esa es la medida de éxito, la distancia recorrida, no el destino final. Y yo veo aquí muchos muchachos que ya han caminado mucho y estoy seguro que van a llegar a donde les dé la gana”, sostuvo.
“Que me dé la gana no es un capricho, que me dé la gana es enunciar un compromiso. Tengo ganas de ser exitoso, como usted lo defina. Mejor guitarrista, el baterista me impresionó. Tengo ganas de ser el mejor médico, porque me da la gana. Tengo ganas de ser un político honesto y exitoso, porque me da la gana. Porque el darle la gana significa que van a hacer el trabajo duro, de lo que requiere cualquier concepción de éxito de un ser humano”, manifestó Chaves.
“Mae tonto aquel que hace cosas que tienen costo y que no tienen beneficio, sino que causan costos adicionales. Las drogas, el guaro excesivo, las malas juntas, el crimen. Ah, estoy sonando como un viejo predicón, se los digo por experiencia. Yo sé que nadie experimenta en cabeza ajena, decían los viejillos de antes. Pero ¿saben qué? La vida nos enseña cotidianamente que somos la colección de decisiones pequeñas, cotidianas y en secuencia”, recalcó.
Por último, Chaves dijo: “Los jóvenes como ustedes deben ser exitosos en la medida que ustedes quieran. Porque la obligación de la sociedad, sigo insistiendo, es darle la oportunidad a que ustedes hagan lo correcto, no darles nada. Y si hacen lo incorrecto, la obligación de la sociedad es que paguen por hacer lo incorrecto. Entonces maes, ¿saben qué? Si yo llegué aquí, ustedes pueden llegar a donde les dé su santa y regalada gana. Los quiero mucho, les deseo lo mejor del mundo, que Dios los bendiga y vamos para adelante”.
