Violencia en aumento: Cruz Roja reporta dos homicidios en menos de una hora

En un lapso de menos de 60 minutos, la Cruz Roja Costarricense (CRC) fue testigo de dos escenas fatales en diferentes puntos del país. Ambos incidentes, ocurridos este viernes, involucraron el uso de armas de fuego, dejando un rastro de muerte en San José y Alajuela.
Primera tragedia en La Carpio
El primer homicidio fue reportado a las 10:05 a.m. en La Carpio, La Uruca, San José. Según el informe preliminar de la Cruz Roja, la víctima, un hombre de 39 años, sufrió varias heridas de bala en el tórax y la cadera. A pesar de los esfuerzos de los paramédicos, al llegar al lugar, solo pudieron confirmar que el sujeto ya no presentaba signos vitales.
Segundo asesinato en Alajuela
Apenas 40 minutos después, la Cruz Roja recibió una nueva alerta, esta vez en Ciruelas de San Antonio, Alajuela. Los paramédicos encontraron a otro hombre, víctima de múltiples disparos, con al menos nueve heridas en su cuerpo. Lamentablemente, el individuo fue declarado fallecido en el lugar de los hechos, sin posibilidad de reanimación.
Aumentan las cifras de homicidios
Con estos dos incidentes, el número de homicidios en Costa Rica sigue aumentando a un ritmo alarmante. El Organismo de Investigación Judicial (OIJ) reporta un total de 616 asesinatos en lo que va del año. San José lidera con 164 muertes violentas, seguido por Limón con 131 y Puntarenas con 113. Las autoridades continúan investigando ambos crímenes, mientras la población exige mayores medidas de seguridad ante el preocupante incremento de la violencia en el país.
