Detención y Acusaciones
Según Vente Venezuela, Ávila fue detenido por funcionarios de seguridad en la residencia donde se encontraba. María Corina Machado, en sus declaraciones en redes sociales, afirmó que Ávila enfrenta acusaciones de violencia de género por un incidente ocurrido recientemente en un local de comida cerca de Caracas. Según Machado, un grupo de mujeres vinculadas al oficialismo intentó agredirla a ella y a Edmundo González, candidato presidencial de la oposición.

María Corina Machado destacó la dedicación de Ávila a su seguridad durante los últimos 10 años, señalando que él ha arriesgado su vida en múltiples ocasiones para protegerla. Además, Machado criticó al presidente Nicolás Maduro, acusándolo de convertir la violencia y la represión en pilares de su campaña política.

Estados Unidos expresó su preocupación por la detención de Milciades Ávila y pidió su liberación inmediata, junto con otras personas que considera detenidas injustamente. Un portavoz del Departamento de Estado mencionó que esta acción es contraria al espíritu de un acuerdo político del año 2023 entre la oposición y el gobierno de Maduro.

Además, desde marzo pasado, seis colaboradores cercanos de María Corina Machado se encuentran refugiados en la embajada de Argentina en Caracas, solicitando asilo debido a órdenes de captura emitidas por la fiscalía en su contra por supuestas conspiraciones.
