La universidad reveló que posee 113 cajas que albergan más de 1,000 objetos pertenecientes a Stephen Hawking, donados por su familia en 2021. Entre los artículos más destacados se encuentra uno de sus primeros escritos, junto con el sistema de comunicación que utilizó después de someterse a una traqueotomía.
La familia de Stephen Hawking deseaba que estos documentos ayudaran a inspirar y educar a futuras generaciones de científicos, por lo que no solo están disponibles en la universidad, sino también en el Departamento de Cultura, medios de comunicación y el Museo de Ciencias.
