Alguien logró sacar la ‘Excalibur francesa’ de una roca en la que llevaba 1.300 años, y ahora nadie sabe de su paradero

Misterio en Francia: Robo de la Legendaria Espada Durandal de Roldán
Las autoridades francesas están inmersas en una investigación tras el sorprendente robo de la ‘Excalibur francesa’, la mítica espada Durandal de Roldán, que había permanecido enterrada en una roca en Rocamadour, Francia, durante aproximadamente 1.300 años.
A pesar de estar encadenada a una piedra a 10 metros de altura y resguardada en un santuario de acceso restringido, la espada desapareció misteriosamente, dejando consternada a la comunidad local y privando al pueblo de un valioso artefacto que era una atracción turística de gran renombre y un símbolo histórico.
Incluso cuando en 2011 el Museo de Cluny intentó exhibirla, las autoridades locales implementaron estrictas medidas de seguridad y protocolos. Un concejal y un guardia de seguridad acompañaron personalmente a la espada en su viaje desde Lot hasta París.
«Vamos a extrañar a Durandal. Ha sido parte de Rocamadour durante siglos y es un punto obligado de cualquier visita guiada. Rocamadour se siente despojado de una parte de sí mismo, y aunque sea una leyenda, los destinos de nuestra comunidad y esta espada están intrínsecamente vinculados», expresó Dominique Lenfant, alcaldesa de Rocamadour, a La Dépêche.
La policía está tratando el incidente como un robo y está trabajando para localizar esta reliquia invaluable del patrimonio francés.
Leyenda de la ‘Excalibur Francesa’
La Durandal fue la legendaria espada de Roldán, sobrino de Carlomagno y uno de sus más destacados comandantes. Según las leyendas, un ángel entregó esta arma al emperador antes de que fuera empuñada por el valiente caballero.
Conocida como la ‘Excalibur francesa’, se decía que Durandal era indestructible y tenía la capacidad de cortar grandes rocas de un solo golpe, gracias a su hoja extremadamente afilada.
Antes de perecer en la batalla de Roncesvalles, Roldán intentó en vano romper la espada contra las rocas para evitar que cayera en manos de sus enemigos. Finalmente, lanzó la Durandal al aire para protegerla. El arma viajó cientos de kilómetros y finalmente se incrustó en la pared rocosa de Rocamadour, donde permaneció hasta su reciente desaparición enigmática.
