Emergencia en el Hospital de Niños: Cirugías Canceladas por Escasez de Sangre
En vísperas del Día Mundial del Donante de Sangre, el Hospital Nacional de Niños (HNN) se enfrenta a una crisis inesperada: la falta de reservas de sangre ha obligado a suspender todas las cirugías programadas para hoy.
Diana Campos, responsable del Banco de Sangre, explicó que la situación crítica se debe principalmente a la escasez de plaquetas. Esta mañana, el hospital se encontró con un suministro limitado, lo que llevó a priorizar las transfusiones de emergencia sobre los procedimientos electivos.
Las autoridades del hospital han hecho un llamado urgente a los donantes de sangre para que se presenten y ayuden a restablecer las reservas. Según Campos, la donación regular es crucial no solo en momentos de emergencia, sino también para mantener un suministro constante que pueda salvar vidas todos los días.
