¡Oportunidad Laboral! Transnacional Abre Centro de Ciberseguridad en el País y Busca Talento
Hologic, Inc., una reconocida empresa de tecnología médica, ha ampliado sus operaciones en Costa Rica con la apertura de un Centro de Operaciones de Ciberseguridad (SOC, por sus siglas en inglés). Este nuevo centro, anunciado el miércoles, será el principal punto de comando para la respuesta a incidentes cibernéticos, especializado en mejorar la salud de las mujeres mediante detecciones tempranas y tratamientos avanzados.
El nuevo SOC no solo es pionero en su clase dentro del sector de Ciencias de la Vida en Costa Rica, sino que también permitirá a Hologic expandir sus capacidades en áreas críticas como la gobernanza, gestión de riesgos y cumplimiento, así como en la gestión de riesgos de terceros.
El SOC desempeñará un papel vital en la vigilancia, detección y respuesta a amenazas cibernéticas que podrían afectar a los empleados, clientes y socios estratégicos de Hologic. Este centro operará desde la Zona Franca Coyol en Alajuela, donde se encuentran las instalaciones de la compañía.
Paul Malenchini, Chief Information Officer de Hologic, destacó la elección de Costa Rica para el establecimiento del SOC debido a la alta calidad del talento local y la inversión en programas de educación continua en seguridad informática. Además, la proximidad a las oficinas centrales de la empresa en Estados Unidos facilita una respuesta efectiva a los incidentes cibernéticos, alineando la seguridad informática con los objetivos comerciales de Hologic.
Nilo Caravaca, vicepresidente de Operaciones Multisitios de Hologic, mencionó que esta inversión en el SOC y en el desarrollo de talento local ayudará a la empresa a cumplir con su promesa de ofrecer «Ciencia de lo Seguro».
