Para mantener una buena salud dental y abordar el bruxismo, se recomienda visitar al odontólogo cada seis meses. Durante estas visitas, el especialista puede realizar un examen clínico completo y revisar la historia dental del paciente para detectar posibles maloclusiones.
En casos donde sea necesario, se puede iniciar un tratamiento de ortodoncia. También puede ser beneficioso consultar a un psicólogo o psiquiatra para tratar los factores de estrés asociados. Finalmente, el uso de una placa neuromiorelajante puede proteger los dientes y relajar los músculos de la masticación.
