Casa de subastas suspende venta del Balón de Oro mundialista de Maradona
Hace algunos días se había aprobado la subasta del galardón, pero ahora continuará la espera para que se venda.
La casa de subastas Aguttes ha tomado la decisión de suspender la subasta del Balón de Oro de Diego Maradona, que estaba programada para el próximo día 6, a pesar de que un tribunal francés autorizó previamente que siguiera adelante, al rechazar un recurso de la familia del futbolista.
Maximilien Aguttes, uno de los responsables de la casa de subastas, explicó en un comunicado que su prioridad es organizar las ventas «en las mejores condiciones para nuestro vendedor como para los compradores». Sin embargo, reconoció que el «clima de contenciosos» y las «incertidumbres» actuales hacen imposible que los aficionados aborden serenamente esta adquisición.
A pesar del dictamen favorable del Tribunal Judicial de Nanterre del pasado jueves, que permitía la subasta, los herederos de Maradona presentaron un recurso y hay una investigación penal en curso, lo que ha llevado a Aguttes a posponer el evento.
Invitó a los interesados en el Balón de Oro a manifestar su interés para mantenerlos informados sobre los próximos pasos de la venta.
Se especulaba que el galardón de Maradona podría superar los 10 millones de euros, convirtiéndose en el objeto deportivo más caro de la historia.
El Tribunal Judicial de Nanterre dio la razón a Aguttes, considerando que el vendedor actuó de «buena fe» al comprar el trofeo en una subasta de segunda categoría en 2016 por una cantidad muy baja.
La familia de Maradona alega que el Balón fue robado de un banco de Nápoles a finales de los años 80 y reclama su devolución. El proceso legal continúa con una nueva audiencia ante el Tribunal de Apelación de Versalles mañana por la mañana.
Mientras tanto, la Oficina Central de Tráfico de Bienes Culturales de Francia investiga si ha habido delito de «ocultación de un objeto robado» por parte del coleccionista que actualmente posee el trofeo.
