Stefanie Cohen Magarici, una popular instructora de gimnasia de origen venezolano, ha sido arrestada en Miami bajo graves acusaciones. Cohen, conocida como Steficohen en redes sociales, donde tiene más de un millón de seguidores, ha sido señalada de haber accedido ilegalmente a los archivos en la nube del computador de su exnovio. Se alega que de allí descargó fotos íntimas de él y su nueva pareja, quien anteriormente había sido su mejor amiga.
El incidente no se limitó a la mera obtención de las imágenes. Según la denuncia, Stefanie compartió estas fotos en varios grupos y redes sociales con la intención de exponer y avergonzar a los implicados. Este acto ha sido calificado como una invasión de la privacidad y acoso cibernético de carácter sexual, lo que ha llevado a la mujer de 32 años a enfrentarse a la justicia.
El abogado penalista Richard Díaz enfatizó la gravedad del caso al afirmar: «Estamos hablando de uno de los derechos más inmutables que tenemos como personas en Estados Unidos y es el derecho de la privacidad». Esta invasión no solo es un acto de celos, sino una violación severa de la privacidad de los individuos involucrados.
Rick Yabor, otro abogado penalista en Estados Unidos, explicó las posibles consecuencias legales de estos delitos. «Lo máximo que un juez puede sentenciar a una persona por estos delitos es a cinco años en prisión», indicó. La severidad de la condena podría variar dependiendo de si Stefanie tiene antecedentes judiciales previos.
Los especialistas en derecho penal coinciden en que, aunque el ciberacoso es un cargo serio, la sentencia podría ser más leve si Cohen no cuenta con antecedentes. Yabor comentó: «Si no tiene antecedentes, yo espero que sea una sentencia con orden de alejamiento».
Después de pagar una fianza de 3.300 dólares, equivalente a unos 12.500.000 pesos colombianos, Stefanie Cohen Magarici ha sido puesta en libertad condicional. El caso continúa desarrollándose, y se espera que la resolución final arroje más luz sobre las repercusiones legales de sus acciones.
