¡Revelador Informe! 13 gasolineras en la mira de Aresep por venta de combustible irregular
La evaluación, que abarcó todo el año 2023, revela preocupantes hallazgos sobre la calidad del combustible vendido a los consumidores.
Un reciente informe de la Autoridad Reguladora de los Servicios Públicos (Aresep) ha puesto en evidencia a 13 estaciones de servicio en Costa Rica, de un total de 414 evaluadas, por vender combustible que no cumple con las normas de calidad. La evaluación, que abarcó todo el año 2023, revela preocupantes hallazgos sobre la calidad del combustible vendido a los consumidores.
Irregularidades en la Calidad del Combustible
El informe también destaca que seis operadores de estaciones de servicio impidieron la fiscalización por parte de Aresep, incumpliendo con sus obligaciones. Además, se detectó que una estación vendía gasolina súper a un precio mayor al autorizado.
Volumen de Suministro Inexacto
En cuanto al volumen suministrado, de las 10,411 mangueras evaluadas, siete registraron no conformidades al despachar menos combustible del normado. Este hallazgo añade otra capa de preocupación para los consumidores que dependen de la precisión en la entrega de combustibles.
Planes Remediales y Correcciones
La Aresep también mencionó que realiza revisiones exhaustivas desde que los combustibles se encuentran en los planteles de la Refinadora Costarricense de Petróleo (Recope) hasta su depósito en las estaciones de servicio. Los planteles de Moín, El Alto, La Garita y Barranca de Recope cumplieron al 100% con las normativas técnicas.
Consumo de Combustibles en 2023
Durante el año pasado, Costa Rica consumió un total de 3,782 millones de litros de combustibles, lo que representa un incremento del 9.7% respecto al 2022. De este volumen, el 61.5% fue comercializado en estaciones de servicio, el 14% fue vendido directamente a clientes de Recope y el 10.8% corresponde al GLP vendido por plantas envasadoras.
