(Foto) Costa Rica, hogar de una de las regiones más lluviosas del mundo
Según un reciente estudio elaborado por Neoman Studios y Budget Direct con datos proporcionados por ClimateData, se reveló que Costa Rica alberga una de las regiones con mayor índice de precipitaciones en el mundo. Este análisis evaluó 64,429 ubicaciones para determinar cuáles experimentaban la lluvia más frecuente, considerando días con al menos 1 milímetro de precipitación.
Los resultados destacan a Colombia como el país con las dos ciudades más lluviosas del mundo: Buenaventura, con 258 días de lluvia al año, y Manizales, con 257 días.
En el tercer lugar se encuentra San Vito de Coto Brus, en Costa Rica, con 253 días de lluvia al año, siendo la única representante de Centroamérica en el top 5.
Ecuador, por su parte, destaca como el país con más ciudades dentro del ranking, con tres en total.
En el contexto centroamericano, además de San Vito de Coto Brus, otros lugares con altos índices de lluvia son El Buff en Nicaragua y Colón en Panamá, ambos con 230 días de lluvia al año. Asimismo, se suma Puerto Barrios en Guatemala con 203 días, San Pedro Sula en Honduras con 192 días, la Ciudad de Belice en Belice con 184 días, y Juayúa en El Salvador con 146 días de lluvia al año.
