Avianca elimina tarifa S para viajar solo con equipaje de mano
La aerolínea Avianca implementó cambios significativos en las tarifas para sus vuelos, eliminando la opción de viajar solo con equipaje de mano y artículo personal.
A partir del 1 de febrero, la tarifa más económica ya no incluye equipaje de mano, sino únicamente artículo personal gratuito, mientras que la siguiente tarifa incluye automáticamente equipaje de mano y equipaje facturado.
Esta modificación ha causado malestar entre los viajeros, quienes argumentan que ahora resulta más costoso pagar por el equipaje de mano extra debido al incremento en la tarifa más baja.
Avianca justificó este cambio como una nueva modalidad que ofrece a los viajeros más opciones para elegir cómo desean viajar. Además, se confirmó que la aerolínea ahora forma parte del segmento de compañías aéreas de bajo costo.
“Esta nueva oferta se basa en la simplicidad y en la flexibilidad, lo que sin duda se traduce en mejores precios para los clientes. Estas cuatro tarifas, además de hacer el proceso de compra más fácil, están pensadas para responder a las necesidades de todos los tipos de viajeros”, afirmó Manuel Ambriz, director comercial de la aerolínea.
Las tarifas
Para vuelos en América (excluyendo Brasil), Avianca ofrece tres tarifas en clase económica: basic, classic y flex, así como una tarifa en clase ejecutiva llamada business, disponible solo en rutas dentro del continente americano operadas en aviones de doble pasillo.
Basic: para los que eligen volar ligero. Esta incluye un artículo personal y check-in en la web o app.
Classic: para los que quieren volar con más beneficios. La tarifa incluye 1 artículo personal; 1 maleta de mano de 10kg; 1 equipaje en bodega de 23kg; check-in en counter, web o app; selección de asientos economy y acumulación de millas LifeMiles.
Flex: con más posibilidades. Incluye artículo personal; 1 maleta de mano de 10kg; 1 equipaje en bodega de 23kg; check-in en counter, web o app; selección de asientos plus, salida de emergencia o economy; cambios y reembolsos antes del vuelo y acumulación de LifeMiles.
Business: La que lo tiene todo. Artículo personal; 1 maleta de mano de 10kg; 2 equipajes en bodega de 32kg; cambios y reembolsos antes del vuelo; check-in en counter, web o app; atención en counter y entrega de equipaje prioritario; asiento en clase ejecutiva; acceso a los avianca lounges; abordaje prioritario y acumulación de LifeMiles.
Por otro lado, para viajar desde y hacia Europa o Brasil, la compañía tendrá los siguientes tipos de ticket: light, classic, flex y business.
Light: para los viajeros ligeros. Esta incluye un artículo personal y check-in en la web o app.
Classic: para los que quieren volar con más beneficios. La tarifa incluye 1 artículo personal; 1 maleta de mano de 10 kg; 1 equipaje en bodega de 23kg; check-in en counter, web o app; selección de asientos economy y acumulación de millas LifeMiles.
Flex: con más posibilidades. Incluye artículo personal; 1 maleta de mano de 10kg; 1 equipaje en bodega de 23kg; check-in en counter, web o app; selección de asientos plus, salida de emergencia o economy; cambios y reembolsos antes del vuelo y acumulación de LifeMiles.
Business: La que lo tiene todo. Artículo personal; 1 maleta de mano de 10kg; 2 equipajes en bodega de 32kg; cambios y reembolsos antes del vuelo; check-in en counter, web o app; atención en counter y entrega de equipaje prioritario; asiento en clase ejecutiva; acceso a los avianca lounges; abordaje prioritario y acumulación de LifeMiles.
De esta forma el esquema de tarifas XS, S, M, L y XXL fue eliminado y Avianca solo usará las tarifas mencionadas anteriormente.
