¿Excusas? Esto dijo David Guzmán tras la eliminación ante Philadelphia Union
El Deportivo Saprissa quedó eliminado este martes en la primera ronda de la Copa de Campeones de la Concacaf al empatar 3-3 en la prórroga del juego de vuelta con el Philadelphia Union, que le ganó por un global de 6-5.
Tras finalizar el encuentro David Guzmán compartió sus impresiones del encuentro con los periodistas en la zona mixta. En sus declaraciones, abordó uno de los temas recurrentes que la afición les achaca: la falta de definición en el juego.
“En este torneo no se puede perdonar, vimos que ellos tuvieron opciones no tan claras, quizás nosotros las tuvimos en casa y acá, pero se decide así, al final de cuentas nosotros debemos ser conscientes y prepararnos aún más, todavía nos queda mucho camino y ahora estamos pensando en el tetra que es la opción que nos queda.
“No somos conformistas, todo el equipo está muy dolido por lo que sucedió, pero al final el esfuerzo es válido e hicimos un excelente trabajo. Intentamos dar lo máximo, más que todo por el país, porque estábamos representando a Costa Rica, no nos alcanzó en este caso, pero creo que hicimos un buen papel, al final esa esa es la sensación que nos quedó, por algo será, quizás la definición o los errores que cometimos, tenemos que enfocarnos en eso para que no nos pase”, comentó Guzmán.
El volante del Saprissa manifestó que entiende la actitud de la afición morada tras el resultado.
“Tengo muchos años acá y la afición también está dolida, ellos no aceptarán esta derrota, lo que quieren es ganar y nosotros también, a ellos les puedo decir que vamos a dar lo máximo y luchar por el tetra que es la única opción que nos queda ahorita”, finalizó.
