Christian Bolaños sobre jugar en Alajuelense: “Sería traicionarme”
El delantero anunció su retiro a los 39 años de edad tras una exitosa carrera.
Christian Bolaños, uno de los ídolos del Deportivo Saprissa y uno de los mejores jugadores de Costa Rica se retirará del fútbol profesional después de finalizado el torneo de Apertura 2023.
La noticia fue dada a conocer este martes en una conferencia de prensa que se realizó al mediodía en el Ricardo Saprissa Aymá.
En la actividad el periodista de Columbia Deportiva, Anthony Porras, le consultó a “Bola”: “¿Por qué a pesar de tener propuestas de Alajuela para jugar con ellos, nunca las aceptaste?”.
A lo que el extremo derecho contestó: “Sería traicionarme”.
Trayectoria
El experimentado volante de 39 años de edad se formó en el Deportivo Saprissa. En el fútbol costarricense también militó con el Club Sport Cartaginés.
Tiene de 22 años como jugador profesional y 9 títulos con Saprissa en primera división.
En el exterior hizo una gran carrera jugando en Dinamarca (Odense – Copenhague), Noruega (Start), Estados Unidos (Vancouver Whitecaps. Vancouver es de Canadá pero milita en la Major League Soccer de USA) y Qatar (Al-Gharafa).
Con la Selección de Costa Rica fue mundialista mayor en tres ocasiones: Alemania 2006, Brasil 2014 y Rusia 2018.
Según informó Tico Urbano, fuentes cercanas al jugador revelaron que Bolaños planea dedicar su tiempo a actividades benéficas y a la formación de jóvenes talentos en el ámbito del fútbol.
