Saprissa se consolida en el liderato tras una sufrida victoria sobre el Municipal Liberia

El Deportivo Saprissa se impuso ante el Municipal Liberia en el estadio Edgardo Baltodano, donde hizo valer su contundencia con los goles de Mariano Torres al minuto 8’ y Javon East al 63’.
Pese a la victoria morada, el juego no fue sencillo.
En la primera mitad, Saprissa enfrentó dificultades significativas, y sin lugar a dudas, las destacadas actuaciones del portero Kevin Chamorro resultaron ser cruciales.
Sin embargo, el guardameta falló en una salida y le cometió penal a Jaime Rosales lo que le permitió a Daniel Colindres anotar para los liberianos en el primer tiempo.
Ya en el complemento los tibaseños despertaron, Javon East, tras un pase de Gerald Taylor, apareció para dar tres puntos importantes que mantienen la diferencia en cuatro puntos con respecto a la Liga en la lucha por la cima.
