Israel entra en una nueva fase de guerra contra Hamás y afirma tener soldados dentro de Gaza
El Ejército de Israel aseguró que sus soldados atacan al grupo islamista palestino Hamás dentro de la Franja de Gaza por tierra, mar y aire, mientras el enclave palestino sufre el corte completo del internet y de la telefonía móvil.
El Ejército de Israel «entró en una nueva fase» de guerra contra el grupo islamista palestino Hamás, después de una noche de intensos bombardeos y de una incursión terrestre del ejército israelí en la Franja de Gaza . Esto, pese a que la Asamblea General de la ONU aprobó una resolución no vinculante que pide una «tregua humanitaria inmediata y duradera» en plena ofensiva militar israelí.
«Entramos en una nueva fase de la guerra. Ayer, la tierra tembló en Gaza», afirmó el ministro israelí de Defensa, Yoav Gallant, en un video divulgado por sus servicios de comunicación.
Más temprano, el portavoz del Ejército israelí, Daniel Hagari, aseguró que están «avanzando en las fases de la guerra» contra el grupo islamista palestino Hamás y que los soldados de Israel atacan la Franja de Gaza por tierra, mar y aire.
«Infantería, blindados, fuerzas de ingeniería y de artillería están participando en la actividad, acompañados de fuertes bombardeos», indicó Hagari, en una intervención televisada, en la que remarcó que «todavía» hay militares israelíes luchando en el enclave palestino.
Agregó que no hay soldados heridos desde que anoche las Fuerzas de Defensa israelíes anunciaran la ampliación de las operaciones terrestres en Gaza, controlada por Hamás.
Recordó que en las últimas horas han abatido a dos dirigentes de Hamás, responsables del comando aéreo y marítimo del grupo, y aseguró que «su eliminación supone un buen progreso en las fases de la guerra y ayuda a que las fuerzas luchen contra un enemigo debilitado».
El portavoz remarcó que los objetivos del Ejército son desmantelar a Hamás, proteger las fronteras de Israel y lograr la vuelta de los rehenes tomados por el grupo islamista y otras milicias palestinas de Gaza.
«Todo esto forma parte de nuestras evaluaciones, de nuestro progreso, de nuestra toma de decisiones», subrayó.
Este anuncio fue acompañado del corte completo del internet y de la telefonía móvil en el interior de Gaza.
