¡Atención! IMN alerta sobre intensificación de las lluvias sobre el país en horas de la noche
Para la noche de este lunes se esperan aguaceros aislados con tormenta en diferentes partes del país.
La noche de este lunes 23 de octubre en apariencia estará acompañada de intensas lluvias en diferentes sectores del país, según alertaron los expertos del Instituto Meteorológico Nacional (IMN).
De acuerdo con el IMN, para las próximas horas se prevé que se estén intensificando las lluvias sobre el territorio nacional debido al flujo de humedad inducido por la depresión tropical #21 que se mantiene en sobre el Mar Caribe, frente a las costas de Nicaragua, lo que genera condiciones inestables en la región.
Asimismo, la institución indicó se esperan aguaceros aislados con tormenta en el Valle Central, Zona Norte y sectores montañosos del Caribe, así como fuertes aguaceros dispersos en sectores montañosos de las regiones del Pacífico, que se estarían prolongando a las zonas costeras hasta horas de la madrugada de mañana martes.
“Las lluvias más intensas se prevén para la región del Pacífico Norte, principalmente la provincia de Guanacaste y Península de Nicoya, estas lluvias podrían movilizarse hacia la Zona Norte. Se esperan montos máximos que pueden alcanzar entre los 180-200 mm durante la noche del lunes y madrugada del martes.
Con respecto al patrón de vientos; se pueden esperar ráfagas ocasionales de viento del noreste fuerte el lunes (alrededor de 40-60 km/h) en Guanacaste. Durante el día martes vientos del suroeste (rangos entre 40-60 km/h) en el Pacífico Norte y norte del Pacífico central”, agregó la institución en el comunicado.
A raíz de lo anterior, los expertos del IMN advierten a la población, en especial a las personas que habitan en el Pacífico Norte, Pacífico Sur, Península de Nicoya y Pacífico Central, cuenca del Sarapiquí y sectores montañosos aledaños al Valle Central, Talamanca y la Zona Norte, que se mantengan alertas ante cualquier emergencia que se pueda presentar debido a la saturación de los suelos.
